Kai of the legendary K-pop group EXO has made his solo debut with the massive hit song 'Mmmh' and EXO-L could not be happier. K-pop fans are quite talented in the area of editing, but a recent clip of Twitter edited by a fan has gained a lot of attention. The clip shows former One Direction member Zayn Malik and EXO Kai dining together, making fans wonder what could they possibly be discussing. What inspired you to make this edit?
- The restaurant scene from his teaser reminded me of Zayn's part in 'Night changes' MV. I wanted to combine it and sort of let everyone know they should collab one day. I kept realizing how these different teasers gave me Zayn & The Weekend vibes, which also gave me another good reason to continue making edits of them, so many similarities...
If you could say something to Kai and Zayn, what would it be?
- I would say that I’m a huge fan of them, and how their music inspired me in so many ways, just seeing how talented they are, makes me feel so proud every time. And ofc to Zayn, I would congratulate him on becoming a father. Last but not least, let them know how much I love, respect & adore both Zayn and Kai individually.
How did you get into both One Direction and EXO?
- One direction was the first group I ever stanned, and from 2012 until 2015, I’ve been supporting One direction, thanks to my friends who would always talk about them back in 2012, and that’s how I got into them. Zayn was ofc my favorite member bc he was so different from them (in a positive way).
I got to know EXO through Baekhyun (properly this year), after listening to his first solo album, which ofc made me so curious about his group EXO. Stanning EXO was the best decision, they’re all immensely talented and hardworking group.
4. Are there any other edits you would like for us to share?
- Maybe this edit of Zayn and Kyungsoo:
They’re my absolute favorite duo, and I think that’s the one duo everyone would love for Zayn to collab with. They’re known to be the “long-lost twins” because they have the same bday (born on 12. January 1993), they also have similar hobby’s/personalities & even their voices sometimes sound similar which is crazy to me.
