Just two days ago, EXO member Chen released an OST called "Your Moonlight" for the new SBS drama "Do you like Brahms". The drama is receiving lots of love from netizens for its great story and OST line-up that includes artists like EXO Chen and Girls' Generation member Taeyeon.
His OST has already been released and is receiving support from the general public and EXO-L. Many fans went on social media to celebrate the OST and show their love for the song. What caught the attention of the fandom is the articles that came out after from domestic and international media/gossip sites. According to the written articles, EXO fans are swarming the music pages of the OST, write malicious comments, leave bad reviews, and ask for EXO to disband because they are supporting Chen to stay.
Both Korean and International EXO-L are not happy with those articles as fans say they are completely wrong and paint the fandom as badly as possible and spread false information harming the fandom, EXO, and Chen the most.
One fan in the Youtube comments section wrote:
- The media sites are overblowing something little to gain clicks on their articles and videos. The bad part is what they are doing can harm the group, Chen, and his family, not only the way the fandom is viewed which is least important next to them. Someone might think he really did something wrong. The 28-year-old young man had a girlfriend, they found she was pregnant and took it as a blessing to take the next step and get married. If they were not serious, they could have had an abortion, went on with their lives, and we would not know anything. They are literally the most common situation ever lol. I never saw anything wrong the only ones seeing anything bad are the salty sasaengs girls. How do 7 people suddenly represent 10M people...I thought we were over this in January -_-...sites like a****** I am talking bout you.
Fans pointed out that those anti-fans have only 3k followers on social media, most of which are mainly fans keeping an eye on the anti projects. Fans remind media of the anti-fan project earlier this year, where many anti-fans were supposed to show up in front of SM but only 7 people showed up. EXO-L also point out that there are more comments of support and comments against those sasaengs than hate comments about Chen or EXO and that even if those anti-fans spend hours to give bad reviews most of Chen solo songs have always received the most love from the general public so losing a few possessive fans won't affect his career.
The EXO-L fandom asks media/gossip sites to refrain from making fake articles or articles with fake facts like for example one article wrote that an EXO disband hashtag trended but it never did. These articles make fans worry, as they paint the fandom wrongly and they have spread a lot between netizens who react to it. Both Korean and International EXO-L have said they will report any article link on social media if it's fake negative news.
EXO-L are always ready to go into action! Share with us what you think about this situation on our social media account. Here are a few tweets from Korean and international EXO-L showing their support for Chen and EXO.
